Terms of use
Updated 7 October 2026.
These terms describe how you may use the Crossed Paths app and website. If you use Crossed Paths, you agree to these terms. Questions can be sent to info@crossedpaths.world.
What Crossed Paths does
Crossed Paths helps people who have agreed to connect notice when their countries or travel plans overlap. It is not a public people finder, messaging service or emergency location service. The app is currently in development; features and availability can change.
Your account and information
Keep access to your sign-in account secure. Provide information you are entitled to share, and do not impersonate another person. An optional WhatsApp number is contact information, not a verified account identity. Do not add someone else's number without their permission.
Respect other people
- Connect only with people who agree to connect with you.
- Do not harass, threaten, impersonate or misuse another person's information.
- Do not try to bypass blocks, access controls or another person's sharing choices.
- Do not interfere with the service or use it for unlawful activity.
Sharing and privacy
Review your sharing settings before providing location, trips or contact information. Accepted connections may see the information you permit, and may retain information they have already seen outside the app. Our Privacy policy explains what the service collects, uses and shares.
Location and notifications
Location and overlap information can be delayed, unavailable or inaccurate. Notifications depend on your device permissions, network and operating system. Confirm plans directly with the other person; do not rely on Crossed Paths for someone's safety or exact location.
Third-party services
You can use Apple, Google or email to sign in. Opening WhatsApp takes you to a separate service, where you decide whether to send a message. Those providers have their own terms and privacy policies. Your carrier may charge for data or other services you use.
Leaving Crossed Paths
You can stop using the service, remove connections, block people or change your sharing choices. Settings › Delete my account removes your account and its associated active-service data as described in the Privacy policy. Account deletion cannot be undone.
Updates
We may update these terms as the service changes. The current version and its update date will be available on this page. These terms do not remove rights that applicable law gives you.
